Student Tea DancesSo you’ve had some private lessons or done the beginners’ course, but where do you go to put your new skills into practise?Look no further……. Once a month, Gemma hosts a tea dance for her students who attend group classes or who have private lessons with her. It can be a daunting prospect, dancing “in public” and out of the relative safety of the dance class. “How will I know what dance to do?”, “How will I know when to start dancing?”, “What if I can’t remember any of the steps?”. It doesn’t matter whether you have been coming regularly for a year or you’ve only been to one class, the Student Tea Dance is a safe place to dip your toe in to the “social dancing” pool. Gemma says which dance it is when the music starts, will count you in and help you with the steps if you need it.

Social/Practise SessionsA new Friday evening hour practise especially for those who can’t make the Saturday tea dances or, indeed, anyone who wants some extra practise. The session is open to all levels and refreshments are provided. If you attend the beginner class, have a cuppa and a chat with your fellow students whilst the other class is in progress, then rejoin at 9.15pm for the practise. Dates: every Friday |

Sunday Tea DancesWith the summer sun (what there was of it, that is!) on the wane and the nights drawing in, why not join us in the warm atmosphere of the Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall for an afternoon of ballroom and latin dancing, with a splash or two of Sequence for good measure.
