Private lessons

Private lessons are for individuals, couples or small groups. The lessons are tailored to the requirements and ultimate goal of the individual or couple(s), whether that is to learn a specific dance for an event, such as a first dance for a wedding, or learn a number of different dances for a social event, such as a ball or cruise, or develop their technique in the different ballroom and latin dances.

For an individual or a couple, lessons can be paid for as a pre-paid package or on a pay as you go basis. Small group lessons are for between two and four couples and are available on a pay as you go basis.

Public group classes

6 Week Beginners’ Course
Inspired by Strictly Come Dancing, New Year’s resolutions or simply wanting to try something new…. whatever the reason to take up dancing, here is an opportunity to start from scratch with a 6 week Beginners’ Course. Over the 6 weeks you will learn the “hold”, the basics of how to dance effectively with a partner and some basic steps for each of the dances taught in group classes.

At the end of the 6 weeks, you should then know enough to join the Improvers’ class.

Course Dates: Sat 17th January to Sat 28th February
Time: 10.30 – 11.30
Cost: £42 in advance, £48 on the door. Prices are per person for the full 6 weeks

Improvers Class
The Improvers’ class is aimed at those who already know the basic steps for each of the dances taught. Each class will include a new step for that dance, plus elements of technique for those who master the pattern of the steps taught.

Benefits:

Learn and practise moving around the floor without bumping into other couples
Learn to dance with other partners, helping to improve leading and following skills
Learn to lead and follow improvised steps, rather than a set routine
Meet new people, with possibility of group outings to local dance events
Ongoing development of technique as well as learning new steps

Lesson and Class times

Private lessons and group classes are held on Saturday mornings.

Private lessons: 12.45* (30 minutes or 55 minutes duration). *Other times can be arranged on request
6 week Beginners’ Course: 17th Jan – 28th Feb 10.30 – 11.30
Improvers’ Class: 11.30 - 12.45
