Group Classes

Group classes are held on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings at either the Leatherhead Parish Church Hall or, occasionally, Leatherhead Institute.

Classes are currently available for beginners/recent beginners and improvers.

Mixer classes – come with or without a partner, and you will be encouraged to change partners throughout the class as this helps to improve your dancing, plus it can help to build confidence.

Couples classes – for people who come with a partner and will stay with their partner throughout the class.

20:15 – 21:15: Courses (Mixer class).  The next courses are as follows:

21:15 – 22:15 Social / Practise hour
If you can’t make the Saturday tea dances, here is another opportunity to practise what you are learning in the classes.
Cost £3 pp.  Refreshments provided

Beginners' Courses

Courses for absolute beginners are for either 4 weeks (Friday evenings) or 6 weeks (Saturday mornings). Over the course you will learn the “hold”, the basics of how to dance effectively with a partner and some basic steps for a variety of dances.

6 week Saturday course (Couples Class):
Dates: 18th Feb - 24th March (Beginner Course S1)
Time: 11:30am – 12:45pm
Cost: £60 per person for the full 6 weeks or £11 per person, per class if paying weekly

4 week course (Mixer class):
Dates: 10th Feb - 2nd Mar
Time: 7.15 – 8.15pm
Cost: £32 Prices are per person for the full 4 weeks or £10 per person, per class if paying weekly

Venues

Most classes are held at the Leatherhead Parish Church hall.  Occasionally, when the hall is not available, classes are held at the Leatherhead Institute.
