Student Tea Dances
So you’ve had some private lessons or done the beginners’ course, but where do you go to put your new skills into practise?
Look no further…….
Once a month, Gemma hosts a tea dance for her students who attend the Not Strictly Ballroom and Celebration Dance School group classes or who have private lessons with her.
It can be a daunting prospect, dancing “in public” and out of the relative safety of the dance class. “How will I know what dance to do?”, “How will I know when to start dancing?”, “What if I can’t remember any of the steps?”.
It doesn’t matter whether you have been coming regularly for a year or you’ve only been to one class, the Student Tea Dance is a safe place to dip your toe in to the “social dancing” pool. Gemma says which dance it is when the music starts, will count you in and help you with the steps if you need it.
